Adam Booker Commits to UNC-Charlotte

After weighing college football options for the last few months, Senior Wide Receiver and Long snapper Adam Booker has chosen to continue his education and football career at UNC-Charlotte.
“I chose Charlotte because when I got on campus, it just felt like home. I’ve always wanted to play Division 1 football and I see an opportunity to better myself, not only as a football player, but as a overall person. I truly believe it was the best fit for me.”
Booker played a in a few critical roles for the Mustangs these past two seasons. These roles included playing wide receiver, multiple defensive positions, as well long snapping duties. Mustangs Offensive Coordinator Jason Willix Coordinator spoke highly of Booker’s versatility:
“He’s Mr. Reliable! A unique talent who played in critical roles on all three phases (offense/defense/special teams) for our team, and in any given situation. Great student, athlete and referred to by players as the “ultimate teammate”.
Head Coach Andrae Jacobs labels Booker as the Mustangs' “Swiss Army Knife”.
Booker was named 1st Team All-State, Academic All-Conference, All-Conference Honorable Mention. He was also given the team’s Coach’s Award for most coachable and team player.
UNC Charlotte's head football coach Will Healy is looking to revamp the 49ers program by recruiting players like Booker. “We want to recruit young men who will represent this school and community with class and integrity and Adam fits the mold perfectly.”

At 6-foot-4, Booker should add tremendous size and some experience at playing multiple positions to the 49ers special teams unit, which was a liability for the all last season long.
“I want Middle Creek community to remember me for my work ethic I displayed in the classroom as well as on the sports fields. I want to be remembered as one who gave it their all for their teammates. I am very passionate about everything I do and will do everything I can to succeed, I hope they remember me for that.”
UNC-Charlotte is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 49ers compete in the Division 1 Conference USA.
